Review: Chick ‘n’ Pug by Jennifer Sattler

Chick ‘n’ Pug

by Jennifer Sattler

Chick lives for adventure. Pug lives for, well, sleep. In Chick’s eyes, however, Pug is nothing short of a hero.

But with danger around every corner and an idol who’s rather low on energy, it may be up to Chick to save the day.

This is a funny, heartwarming story of misplaced hero worship – and the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

‘An irresistible tale of misplaced hero-worship and the start of a wonderful friendship.’ *Bloomsbury Press release

This is a very cute book, about a little chick who is already bored with life and doesn’t want to just lay eggs and peck at seeds. She is a well read chick, whose hero is Wonder Pug, when she sets out on her adventure away from the chicken coop, she soon meets Pug in real life and she is so awestruck that she cannot see him for what he is, a lazy slovenly dog that only wants to sleep, and sleep…

Great for early readers, as the illustrations are very vivid and support the story really well.
