You Can’t Take an Elephant on the BUS

by Patricia Cleveland-Peck

Illustrated by David Tazzyman

You can’t take an elephant on the bus…

It would simply cause a terrible fuss!

Elephants bottoms are haevy and fat.

and would certainly squash the seats quite flat.

Elephants on busus? Monkeys in shopping trolleys? Hippos in hot air balloons? A whale… on a bike?

Join in the crazy chaotic fun (and chortle loudly) as an array of animals ride all sorts of unsuitable vehicles in this energetic picture book.

You Can’t Take an Elephant on the Bus is a fast paced humorous picture book. It will make the kids laugh loudly and want to get involved in making noises and acting out the scenes.

I love the illustrations in this book, the background is very simple with limited detail and the characters and detailed sketch/line pictures that would appeal to both younger and older children.

Published by: Bloomsbury in May 2015, with thanks to Bloomsbury for supplying this copy to review.

Recommended Retail Price $22.99 (Hardcover)

Recommended Age: 0-5 years (but older kids up to about 9 would also enjoy it)
